Whispered Tension

An ongoing series of 30 artworks exploring inner tension, quiet resilience, and the fragile balance between weight and light.

From Sketch to Canvas

Each artwork evolves through a structured process: sketch, pochade (oil study), master canvas, and a series of variations. One artistic DNA, expressed through different tensions.

About Mallar

Mallar is a contemporary abstract painter based in Québec City, exploring inner tension, resilience, and the silences that shape the human experience.

Tension lies at the heart of my compositions. It transcends the idea of conflict to become a fragile balance, where composition, color, light, matter and silence interact to maintain the gaze in a space of transformation.

Where the Art Continues

Beyond the canvas, I explore the creative process, the questions, the challenges, and the transformations that shape my work. Through my blog and podcast, I share what unfolds behind each artwork.
